CTM Festival ^{25th Edition}

CTM Festival’s 25th anniversary edition will take place January 26 to February 4, 2024. Under the theme 'Sustain', CTM presents the current state of adventurous music, from pulsating dance floor to shared moments of artistic intimacy, and passes through a range of Berlin venues such as Berghain, silent green, radialsystem, OXI, RSO.Berlin, and Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz.

TEDxBerlin ^{15th Edition}

All Day at Admirals Palast

TEDxBerlin is back after almost 5 years and could no longer hit the mark with the motto: “Perceptions”, or in German “Verfassung”. How this influences experiences, beliefs and decisions is highly relevant given the current background of fake news, but also artificial intelligence. Included are Karl Theodor zu Guttenberg, who talks about the positive and dangerous powers of attention, and Lawrence Lessig, an American law professor at Harvard University, who sheds light on the influence of AI on elections. But Irena Arsalova, a doctor of neuroscience, also discusses questions about how one's own perception can be changed or what potential can be released as a result in her lecture on time perception from a neuroscientific perspective.

Pictoplasma, the world's leading conference for contemporary character design in illustration, animation, graphic and urban arts, is celebrating its 20th anniversary.Over the past two decades, the Berlin-based project has fostered a uniquely playful and interdisciplinary exploration of new visual worlds in the digital age, served as a vibrant forum for a growing international community, and redefined the boundaries of contemporary character representation. In celebration of Pictoplasma's coming of age, the festival welcomes all international character creators and connoisseurs from 1-5 May for an especially immersive programme of awe-inspiring artist presentations and back-to-back conference lectures, freshly hatched animations lighting up the big screen, numerous hands-on workshops, endless fun, inspiration and lots of confetti!
