It’s All Graphic #11

On 11 January 2024, the Wim Crouwel Institut will open the year with a new 'It's All Graphic'. This time, we explore the hybrid dual role of graphic designers and publishers. Five designer-publishers share their thriving practice and engage in a conversation about their approach to publishing, the different roles they play, their motivations and the diversity of results they achieve, from monumental to ephemeral, from aesthetic to activist, from paper book to radio play. Moderators Roosje Klap and Astrid Vorstermans will lead the conversation and explore how this diversity of perspectives and experiences can offer a dynamic future for designers and publishers alike. The language of discussion this evening is Dutch, by exception, as the speakers this time are all it Dutch-speaking regions.

Sonic Acts Biennial 2024 ^{30th Edition}

Sonic Acts Biennial 2024 runs from 2 February to 24 March, with an immersive and intensive 'festival' weekend from 23 to 25 February. Over the course of two months, the Biennale will take shape as an exhibition, a multi-channel sound programme, club nights, large-scale theatre productions, a symposium, film programmes, sound and video installations, sound and field walks, workshops and more. Curated around topics and thematics that echo the ongoing environmental crisis and its interconnectedness and tensions with the body.
